No sign-in, no account, no password. Everything here is invented, nothing is saved, and it never touches a real timesheet.

Clock in?
Journey
Records where you set off and puts your clock on Travel. Tap End journey when you arrive. Not where you go in between.
Records where you arrive and saves it to Journeys.
Clock in
Where
Break is asked when you clock out. So is mileage. Overnight can be set either here or there — whichever you know first.
Clock out
An unpaid break shortens the paid time by that much.
Pause for
The timer stops and the job is held. Paused time is not paid, and nothing is running — so you can clock in on a different job and come back to this one afterwards.

Date & time
That day, Muster recorded
Kept as your phone recorded it, on the clock where it happened. A reminder, not an answer: the times you save are the ones you enter.

Notes
As tapped
Your phone’s own clock at each press, kept as it was. The hours above are the time that passed, rounded up to the next quarter hour and less any break; the zones only say where each end was.
Corrected since by someone else. What it said before is kept.
Pay cycle
Invoices
A client’s logged time, as an invoice. It is numbered when you issue it, and never changed after — a mistake is put right with a credit note.
Send to HR
Fills in the TS-100 HR issued and downloads it. Worth checking the figures first — this is the version that gets read.
This period is still running: the sheet holds only what is recorded so far.
Expected pay
An estimate, not a payslip. Shown only when pay figures are switched on in Settings.

Jobs
Hours, entries and mileage per job. Jobs themselves are created and edited in the admin console — including the order number that becomes the job code.
Blank forms
Each form covers a fixed run of periods. When yours runs out, upload the next one here and Muster picks it automatically — nothing else to change.
How do you work?
Employed: the end of a period is the timesheet HR is sent. Self-employed: you invoice your hours. It sets how you are paid too.
Features
Switch off what you do not use. Each switch saves at once. Nothing you have recorded is ever removed, and switching a feature back on shows it all again.
Days you work away from your home country are recorded as stays by themselves, each named by its town, so the app stops asking where you stayed. Only the town is kept here, never your exact spot.
Towns are looked up on the Muster server itself; your position is not sent anywhere else. Town names from GeoNames, CC BY 4.0.
What Muster records, and what it does not
Sends a journey's start, stops and end - no name or account - to the routing service the station uses, to work out road miles. What has been sent cannot be recalled; turning this off stops any more being sent.
Mon–Thu 06:00–08:00 and 17:30–22:00 only. Non-contractual and at manager discretion.
What the “Not worked” button offers for a day with no contracted hours. 0 offers 8.
The day you began recording in Muster. Earlier days are drawn as a standard week — 8.5 h Monday to Thursday, 5 h Friday, which is the 39 — hatched, and counted in nothing. They never reach the timesheet or the pay figures.
Most contracts ask for it when you join. With it on, the week card says nothing about the 48-hour limit. The hours are counted the same either way.
Set by your agreement. The claim pays these, so Summary shows them too.
Two-letter codes, comma separated. Everywhere else gets the overseas rate. Jersey (JE), Guernsey (GG) and the Isle of Man (IM) are not part of the UK — add them here if your employer treats them as such.

Hours above this in a Monday–Sunday week are overtime.
The column on the TS-100 those hours are claimed in.
Every Sunday hour, whether or not the week passed the threshold.
With the day in lieu switch below off, a worked bank holiday’s hours sit outside the week and are claimed in this column. On, as shipped, its normal day is claimed at plain rate and the hours past it in the x2.0 column instead.
On: travel hours push you toward the threshold and are paid at whatever the week earns. Off: they leave the week and are claimed separately in Travel x1.0.
Travelling on a Sunday can be worth less than working on one. Leave this as the Sunday column unless the agreement carves it out.
The payroll period runs from this day of the month to the day before the next one, so 11 means the 11th to the 10th. It is not free: HR’s workbook has one sheet per period, and days outside that sheet have nowhere to be written. The export still runs and says so at the top, loudly — a right period and an out-of-date workbook is a real situation, and only you can say which is wrong. 1 to 28, because a boundary that moves in February is not a boundary.
A choice, not something Muster knows — the form states no multiple for a worked bank holiday. On, as shipped, claims the normal day at plain rate and counts it toward the week, claims the hours past it in the x2.0 column, and records a day owed, which is claimed through HR and never on this timesheet. Off claims every hour in the bank holiday column above, and no day.
What you are contracted to work each day. A weekday with no entry is assumed at contract, so the week is not read as short.
Kept with your account, so it follows you to another phone or a laptop.
A light screen for working outside. Not automatic — a phone’s dark mode follows the clock, not the weather.
—
Exactly as payroll spells it. It is the name on every timesheet you send; left blank, the timesheet uses your display name and says so.
People, jobs, tokens and the store are managed in the console.
Open the admin consoleOpens in your browser. What each screen does, and why, where the why decides what you are paid.
