New, October 2026: reports. Your own hours any way round, and the team's for HR. See the reports
Your employer's timesheet, filled in — with their overtime rules already applied.
Muster is a UK timesheet app that records time on your phone as you work, even with no signal, applies your employer's overtime rules, and fills in the form they gave you — so the claim you submit matches the days you actually had.
Running the team, or HR? Everybody's hours and overtime, worked out by your own rules and ready for payroll, with nothing re-keyed.
Your overtime, worked out — and shown
For engineers, site trades, drivers on nights out — anyone with overtime to claim, on site, away or in one place. The weekly threshold, time and a half, double time, Sundays, bank holidays, travel and nights away, applied as your employer's agreement says, each figure naming its rule.
| Time and a half 81.5 h × £21.70 × 1.5 | £2,652.37 |
|---|---|
| Overnight 5 UK nights | £75.00 |
| Variable pay, gross | £2,727.37 |
An estimate, gross, before tax — never presented as a payroll record. The rules: overtime, the 48-hour week, nights away and mileage.
With no signal, and in the rush hour
- Everything you record - clock in and out, pause, add, change or delete an entry - kept on the phone.
- At the time you pressed - clock in at seven in a plant room and the shift starts at seven, even if nothing is sent until lunch.
- Sent once, in order - when the app is next open with a signal: nothing lost, nothing doubled.
- Load-tested with 10,000 simulated people - 40 clock-ins a second for a minute, every one kept.
Try it in the demo: its online switch turns the signal off. What works with no signal, and what still needs one.
For the team and HR
Every hour in a report is the timesheet's own — the same rounding, the same rules — so a report and the timesheet never disagree.
The same hours, any way round
- Your own - by client, job, activity, week or day, for any range, shared as PDF or CSV.
- The team, for HR - a Who picker, a People view, and the overtime each person worked.
- In the console - up to a year by person and by job, with overtime; a CSV, or print.
- Worth a look - a clock left running, hours written ahead, corrections.
- People and access - a one-time access link, then a username and password; revoke and hold signs somebody out everywhere.
If you're self-employed
No employer needed. Say you are self-employed when it asks how you work: no threshold, and a period ends in an invoice, not a timesheet.
Invoices from the hours you logged
- From your hours - a client and the dates, by job or by day.
- With the miles - your drives from Journeys, at HMRC's rate for the tax year, and any expenses.
- Numbered when issued - never changed after; a credit note puts a mistake right.
- What is owed - shared as a PDF, and marked paid when the money comes in.
What it records, and how it is kept safe
- Only what you enter. No screenshots, keystroke or app tracking, idle timer, or analytics or advertising trackers.
- Location is off until you turn it on. Then one position when the app needs it, never a trail; nobody else can switch it on.
- Who sees what. HR sees the timesheets, with any position on them — not your journeys or stays, only their miles. Only you can delete your hours.
- Kept safe. Encrypted connections, guarded sign-ins, an encrypted copy off site each night, and a standby server.

It is early
Built for one engineer whose overtime was worked out by hand every month, Muster runs a real timesheet for real pay. There is no support desk; there is the manual: every screen, and how hours become pay.
